Hey friends! 👋🏻 I’m so happy you came by, and I’m thrilled to share my passion with you as The (or should I say Another) Panicked Millennial. I started my podcast, Panicked Millennial, back in 2019 as an outlet to help myself and others understand and cope with the panic of being a millennial. With that said, I’m nowhere near to having it all figured out. But I’ve found that opening up and talking about the things that no one else will has allowed me to grow so much more than I ever anticipated.
The millennial generation is a weird one, right? 😵💫 We’re the generation that knew what it was like to have no technology at all (what was that like), dial up (insert sound into your brain now), and the social media takeover that we have today. While we might have grown up with participation trophies, we now have at least two jobs fighting to pay bills and still have a social life. 💵 And they say we didn’t have work ethic and drive!
Panicked Millennial has evolved quite a bit since 2019, as I’ve not only grown my podcast, but I’ve expanded my videography 🎥 and photography 📸 passions, successfully building a creative business that once terrified me. My anxiety took over my life at one point, so it’s really exciting that I’ve been able to channel this passion into something that helps others. What will you get when you talk on my podcast or hire me for your videography or photography needs? You’ll get someone who isn’t perfectly polished – but, you’ll get someone who puts her anxious heart and creative soul behind every job. 💛
I’m Coats, North Carolina born and bred. Two stoplights in the middle of the Piedmont, so to say I’m a southern girl is an understatement (you’re allowed to make fun of my accent; it’s actually endearing). I now live in Raleigh, North Carolina and I love it. Close enough to the family, yet I don’t have to share the grocery store with 2,000 other people.
I’m an East Carolina University alumni, where I received a Bachelors degree in Exercise Physiology. Funny – I love to exercise, but I do nothing to that effect in my current career (yes, I have a 9-5 corporate job outside of this). I attended ECU’s Physician Assistant Studies graduate program right out of undergrad, and I realized I hated it. 🥴 So, in 2014, I withdrew, and I’ve been in federal government consulting ever since. I am now a senior communications supervisor for two federal agency campaigns raising awareness of human trafficking and terrorism prevention (yes, I love my job). No children, except Beau, my border collie/boxer/pit/bulldog/Ihavenoidea mut I rescued in college. For now, I’m enjoying the quiet.
I’m a complete nut and often all over the place, so I hope you enjoy my rambles about my life (on the podcast and in person). If you decide to hire me to capture your most special moments, you’ll stay entertained and I’ll do my best to bring your vision(s) to life. ✨
I am an open book. If you ever have any questions (no question is dumb), I’ll be happy to answer them for you. I look forward to working with you!
